Actress Mrunal Thakur recently received backlash from the fans of Deepika Padukone after she liked a ‘sexist’ post about 'tiny clothes' the Padmaavat actress wore during Gehraiyaan promotions. Mrunal liking social media influencer Freddy Birdy’s post did not go down well with ardent and loyal fans of Deepika as they lashed out at her for liking the post. For the unversed, popular media influencer Freddy Birdy shared a post that read, “Newton's Law of Bollywood. The clothes will get tinier as the Gehraiyyan release date approaches.”

As per reports, the viral post also added in the caption, "Necklines and hemlines are Gehraiyaan." The post was seemingly liked by Mrunal Thakur and others. One of the fans shared a post about Mrunal liking the ‘sexist’ post on Instagram. Reacting to this, the Jersey actress hit out at the fan saying that he must get himself a life, rather than sitting at home and spreading hate. She wrote, “Get well soon.”

In another follow-up tweet, Mrunal said, “Bhai you are so mentally sick I wish I could get you some flowers and slam it on your face and thank you for spreading hate! Just to let you know I admire Deepika. Having said that I feel you must get yourself a life, rather than sitting at home and spreading hate, spread love!”

The same user then tweeted, "Mrunal Thakur replied to me.” Replying to this, Mrunal wrote, “Had fun? Maaza aaya (Was it fun)? Now eat good food, go for a run and make friends who love you. I never encourage the troller but I honestly feel sorry for you. Take care sweetheart I pray this tweet changes you a bit and make you a better human.”

On Sunday, actor Deepika Padukone took a dig at influencer Freddy Birdy for the post. The actress shared a note that read, “Scientists say the universe is made of protons, neutrons, and electrons.
